The Ultimate Blog Challenge, Round Two: Blogtober!

Day 1 of 31 · Thu, Oct 1, 2026

This month, I'm taking on the Ultimate Blog Challenge for the second time!

It's a daily blogging challenge where a community of bloggers commits to publishing a new post every day for a month, and this round runs all of October. That's why I'm calling it Blogtober! Wooo~

The challenge is open to anyone, so if you've been thinking about starting a blog or getting back to one, you can join in at ultimateblogchallenge.com.

If we haven't met yet, I'm Danielle, the founder of FroMotion Media, a content strategy, brand photography, and video production studio based in Bridgewater, New Jersey. I help businesses turn their content into a system that grows the business, so what they share has a purpose and builds toward something bigger. I work closely with the people I serve, building alongside them, so their content reflects who they are and what they're working toward. I’m really big on building a community through content; we’re all people here — not just some number on a followers list.

What happened during my first Ultimate Blog Challenge

I did the challenge for the first time in July, and it was tough. Summer came with a lot of distractions, and finding time to write while on vacation and on the weekends was harder than I expected. I didn't make it every day, but I made it enough days that the whole thing was worth it.

During the challenge, I got to enjoy writing again. I've always been a strong writer, and it turns out I still am. I connected with a new audience, talked about the work I love, and shared knowledge that helped people. Engagement picked up, and more people signed up to follow along. My website also saw more traffic than it ever had, and that's the part that stuck. Traffic has stayed higher ever since, compared to before I started blogging.

Then I stopped. Life got a bit wild, and I haven't written a post since July. This time, I'm making it a priority.

Why I'm doing the blog challenge again

I'm coming back for a lot of the same reasons. I want to show what consistency can do, what being part of a community can do, and what it looks like to make your goals a priority.

Motivation won't carry you through a month of showing up every day. That's something I teach the people I work with, and July was proof of it. It also showed me something about the harder days... Even when I wanted to write, some days were so packed and exhausting that there was nothing left for it. A system gives you something to lean on then too.

So this time, I'm doing a few things differently. The blog is becoming a resource on the FroMotion platform, a place you can come back to for content strategy, brand photography, and video insight whenever you need help with your content and mindset around it. Each post will also go out on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Threads. Last time, sharing elsewhere happened whenever I got around to it, and this time there's a system behind it. I'm also focusing on growing the email list, so anyone who wants these posts can get them straight to their inbox.

Building a system instead of waiting on motivation

If there's a goal in your business or in your life you've been waiting to feel motivated about, this month might be a good time to look at it differently. Motivation is hard to count on, and a system (aka, a scheduled routine, a habit, DISCIPLINE) gives you something to hold onto when it fades. What would it look like to build one around that goal, even a small one?

I'd love to hear about it. What's one goal you're making a priority this month? Share it in the comments.

Day 1, done. Thirty to go.
